Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941, at Lincoln Nebraska. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family relocated across Nebraska, eventually moving to Casper which was where his dad worked as the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
