Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress, is known for playing the lead in a variety of television shows as well as for her impressive performances in films. Her fan base is large both on American as well as Canadian television. At the age of Emily was 12 she became interested in acting after she visited her older sister Katie on the set of one of her film. When Emily realized her love for acting, she began training in acting classes and went to auditions. Her first audition was for commercials, but soon got the role of a child actor on the Canadian TV horror series Are You afraid of the dark? The show had one episode in which she did not speak. When she was 15 years old, she got her big break as she was a regular on the WB show Glory Days. Emily's performances caught the attention to Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then invited her to his TV show Everwood. Also a ballet dancer and a photographer Emily was previously ranked in Teen to be one of their best actresses under the age of 20. In Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed Emily as the #51.
